Bbq Beef Brisket

- 4-6 lb beef brisket shopping list
- 1T liquid smoke shopping list
- 1t Penzeys garlic salt (or garlic powder) shopping list
- 2T soy sauce shopping list
- 1t Penzeys onion salt (or onion powder) shopping list
- 1t Penzeys celery salt shopping list
- SAUCE shopping list
- 3/4 C Catsup shopping list
- 3T brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4C lemon juice shopping list
How to make it
- Night before serving, combine marinade items in small bowl or measuring cup. Make an aluminum wrap to fully enclose the brisket. Place the brisket in the foil and add the marinade and seal tightly (I put in baking pan-again sealed tightly). Let set in refrigerator over night or for at least 8 hours.
- Preheat oven 300 degrees six hours prior to serving. Keep meat sealed and place in warm oven and cook for 5 hours.
- After 5 hours open 1 side of foil and apply sauce. I mix the sauce in a small pan to meld the ingredients and then apply-but you really don't have to cook it. I also make 3X the sauce to have extra.
- Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes.
- Slice with sharp knife very thin across the bias.
