Blackberry Cobbler

- Filling: shopping list
- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 TB. cornstarch shopping list
- 1/4 c water shopping list
- 4 c fresh or frozen blackberries shopping list
- Topping: shopping list
- 1-1/2 c flour shopping list
- 1/4 c sugar shopping list
- 1 Tbs baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon or nutmeg shopping list
- 5 TB. butter shopping list
- 1 egg,beaten shopping list
- 3 TB. milk shopping list
How to make it
- Topping: In a roomy bowl,mix flour,sugar,baking powder,and cinnamon or nutmeg. Work cold butter into the mixture with your fingers or a fork until it resembles coarse crumbs. Combine the egg and milk. Add to flour mixture,stirring just to moisten and combine.
- Filling:In a saucepan,combine the sugar and cornstarch. Add the water. Stir in the blackberries. Cook on low-medium heat and stir until thickened and bubbly. Keep warm while you make topping.
- Pour filling into greased 8x8" baking dish. Drop the topping in mounds atop the hot filling.
- Bake at 400' for 20-25 mins until topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted(just into topping)comes out clean
- Serve warm with frozen yogurt or ice cream,if desired.
