Silky*-chocolate Pudding

- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch shopping list
- Pinch of salt shopping list
- 2 cups whole milk shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 4-5 ramekins or custard cups shopping list
How to make it
- Whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, cornstarch, and salt in a heavy saucepan.
- Gradually whisk in the milk.
- Bring to a boil, whisking constantly, and boil until pudding is thick, about 3 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Immediately beat the egg lightly in a medium, heat-proof bowl. Very gradually add the hot chocolate mixture to the egg, whisking constantly. now,whisk in the chocolate chips until they are melted and the mixture is smooth.
- pure the mixture in to the serving cups and refrigerate, covered, for 2 hours or until cool to touch.
- if you want, serve it with whipped cream.

Good pudding. Think I would have assembled it in a different fashion but it turned out well this way too.
