How to make it

  • Method
  • Heat Oil then add Ground Cumin stir for a minute,throw in the Onions (med heat)and cook til edges of onion are browned about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in the Garlic for 3-4 mins then add the Ginger for 3 mins.
  • Stir in the drained Tomatoes and the Whole green chillies and mix well.
  • Add your meat (turn heat up to med-hi just to seal your meat)
  • Add all the spices Salt,Turmeric,Black pepper,Coriander,Garam Masala,Chilli Flakes and Paprika and stir for 4-5 mins (med heat)
  • Add 2 cups boiling water along with drained tom sauce and stir.
  • Add the fresh Coriander (10 mins from end of cooking time) and stir bring to the boil cover and simmer,
  • Add the Cornflour mix to the curry to thicken and stir (add this 10mins before end of cooking time)
  • For Chicken 25 minutes. Beef/Lamb 1 ½ hrs till soft
  • Serve with Basmati rice.

    Thank you for perfecting this delish sounding recipe! I love curry, . what is the difference between garam masala and curry Powder? (in many recipes from India both are included).
    this new "bookmark" feature is quite handy!! I should be able to find the recipe again!!
