How to make it

  • Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar till fluffy and well mixed
  • Sift flour and baking powder and salt
  • Add eggs, one at a time to cream mixture
  • Add vanilla and milk
  • Slowly add flour to creamed
  • mixture and combine well
  • Divide into 2 greased and floured 9 inch loaf pans
  • Bake 325 until tested done in center with wooden toothpick
  • When cool, ice
  • Cream butter and cream cheese. Add milk and powdered sugar to make a spreadable icing.
  • Note: great also without icing . Use this as a base for your trifle, shortcakes, petit fours!!
