Autumn Glow Punch

- 1 tsp allspice berries shopping list
- 1/2 tsp whole cloves shopping list
- Two 3-4-inch cinnamon sticks, broken shopping list
- 2 quarts apple juice shopping list
- One 32-oz bottle cranberry juice cocktail shopping list
- 2 large oranges, sliced into rounds shopping list
- dark rum, optional shopping list
How to make it
- Tie allspice, cloves, and cinnamon sticks in a bundle with rinsed cheesecloth and kitchen string. In a large saucepan over medium-low heat, heat the apple juice, cranberry juice, and orange slices and spices until simmering. (The punch can be prepared up to 4 hours in advance, keep at room temperature. Reheat gently before serving.)
- To keep punch warm, transfer to a slow cooker or place on a hot plate. Serve hot, allowing each guest to add dark rum as desired.
