Baked Ziti

- 1 pound jimmy dean italian sausage shopping list
- 1 1/2 tblsp olive oil shopping list
- 1 onion, diced shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic chopped shopping list
- 1 pound dry ziti pasta shopping list
- 1 (26oz) jar spaghetti sauce shopping list
- 1 (16 oz) part skim ricotta cheese shopping list
- 1 (6 ounce) package mozzarella cheese, shredded shopping list
- 2 tblsp freshly grated parmesan cheese shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook pasta according to package directions and drain.
- 2. Meanwhile, heat olive oil in large, heavy skillet over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic until tender.
- 3. Place italian sausage in skillet and cook over medium-high heat until evenly brown. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and ricotta cheese. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes.
- 4. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9 x 13 inch baking dish. Combine the ziti and meaty sauce mixture in baking dish. Top with mozerella and parmesan cheese. Cover pan with foil and bake for 20 to 30 minutes or until heated through and cheeses are melted.
- 5. Remove foil for last 5 minutes to brown the top layer of cheese.
