How to make it

  • Heat brown sugar,corn syrup,and butter to boiling over medium heat.
  • Stirring all the while you you do not want the lace to scorch.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Stir in flour and nuts gradually.
  • Keep batter warm...over hot water.
  • Drop by teaspoonfuls about 3 inches apart onto lightly oiled cookie sheet.
  • Bake only 6 Cookies at a time at 375 degrees...so as to watch and make sure they are okay, and not over done.
  • Bake until set,about 5 minutes.
  • Let stand 3 to 6 minutes.
  • Remove from cookie sheet.
  • These are going to be tender...so be very gentle in the removing them from the cookie sheet.
