Cardamom Crumb Cake

- nonstick cooking spray shopping list
- 3 c flour shopping list
- 2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 TB baking poeder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp coarse salt shopping list
- 3/4 c (1-1/2 sticks) unsalted butter shopping list
- 2/3 c milk shopping list
- 2 large eggs,lightly beaten shopping list
- 1/3 c sour cream shopping list
- 1 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 3/4 tsp ground cardamom shopping list
- 1 tsp finely grated lemon zest shopping list
- 2 c fresh berries shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350' Coat 9" square baking pan with cooking spray.
- In large bowl,whisk together flour,sugar,baking powder and salt. With a fork or dough cutter,cut in butter until crumbs form. Reserve 1 c crumb mixture.
- Whisk eggs,milk,sour cream,vanilla,cardamom and lemon zest into remaining crumb mixture until combined. Pour batter into pan and sprinkle reserved crumb mixture on top. Bake until top is golden brown and toothpick inserted in center of cake comes out clean,about 45 mins
- Let cool in pan on wire rack,30 mins.
- Serve cake warm or at room temperature with fresh berries. (Store cooled cake in airtight container,at room temperature up to 3 days.
