How to make it

  • Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
  • Saute garlic in butter in a large saucepan for a minute. Stir in flour and pepper until smooth.
  • Gradually add milk and bring to a boil, cooking and stirring for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
  • Reduce heat and stir in 4 cups of cheese until melted.
  • Remove from heat.
  • Drain the pasta and add the pasta and 2/3 of the bacon to the cheese sauce.
  • Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake covered at 350 F for 30 minutes.
  • Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon and bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
