Cheesy Bacon Penne

- 4 cups uncooked penne pasta shopping list
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic shopping list
- 4 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 4 tablespoons flour shopping list
- pepper to taste shopping list
- 4 cups milk shopping list
- 6 cups shredded cheddar cheese, divided shopping list
- 2 lbs bacon, cooked and crumbled shopping list
How to make it
- Cook the pasta according to the package directions.
- Saute garlic in butter in a large saucepan for a minute. Stir in flour and pepper until smooth.
- Gradually add milk and bring to a boil, cooking and stirring for 1-2 minutes or until thickened.
- Reduce heat and stir in 4 cups of cheese until melted.
- Remove from heat.
- Drain the pasta and add the pasta and 2/3 of the bacon to the cheese sauce.
- Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake covered at 350 F for 30 minutes.
- Uncover, sprinkle with remaining cheese and bacon and bake 5-10 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.
