Carrotcake With Maple Creamcheese Frosting And Candied Walnuts

- cake:)2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 c canola oil shopping list
- 2 c flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 tsp each cinnamon,nutmeg,ginger shopping list
- 1/2 tsp clove shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 4 c grated carrots shopping list
- 1 cup chopped,toasted walnuts shopping list
- 1 pouch sunmaid baking raisins shopping list
- 5 large eggs shopping list
- frosting;] 3 bricks cream cheese shopping list
- 1 stick butter (room temperature) shopping list
- 2 1/2 powdered sugar/siffted shopping list
- 1/4 maplesyrup shopping list
- 1 1/2 vanilla shopping list
- candied walnuts:) 1/2 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 2 tbl spoons powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tbl spoon water shopping list
How to make it
- cake-set oven to 350
- grease and flour 2 9 inch cake pans
- beat together sugar , canola oil , eggs till combined
- add flour,baking soda,ginger,cinnamon ,nutmeg,cloves,salt
- mix till well blended
- fold in carrots and raisins
- keep husband from sticking fingers in batter
- pour in to pans bake 35 minutes or till tooth pick comes out clean
- cool completely
- frosting-cream butter and cream cheese till well blended
- add sifted powdered sugar and combine,add maple syrup and vanilla
- frost cake!!!(can add more powdered sugar if you like denser frosting)
- candied walnuts-preheat oven to 325-line a baking pan with foil and spray with nonstick spray toss walnuts with powdered sugar and cinnamon ,add water and spread in a layer
- bake for 8 minutes or till lightly toasted,stiring once, cool
- break in pieces and sprinkle over top of cake
- stand back and keep your fingers out of the way YUM!
