Ingredients

4 oz. of Ground almonds

a few Slivered almonds

ground mace

2 tbsp Fresh white breadcrumbs

1 pint of Milk

1 oz of Butter

1 oz of Plain flour

2 pintsof Chicken stock Salt

cayenne pepper

1 pint of Single cream

1 tbsp of Butter

Directions

First you wan to add the ground almonds and the milk in a small pan and let gently cook around for 10 minutes.

Then you can add the crumbs and cook approx. 3 minutes, make sure to stir.

Now inn a large pan you want to melt the butter, then add the flour and then stir it in then stir in the almond puree.

Then you wan to gradually add your stock and when you have a smooth soup, you want to season with salt, hot pepper and ground mace.

You can now cook on low slowly for approx. 10 minutes and then remove from the heat and stir in your cream. Heat this through gently.

Meanwhile add slivered almonds to a buttered pan and cook to a golden brown.

Ladle Soup and sprinkled almonds on top.
