Almond Soup

- 4 oz. of ground almonds shopping list
- a few slivered almonds shopping list
- ground mace shopping list
- 2 tbsp fresh white breadcrumbs shopping list
- 1 pint of milk shopping list
- 1 oz of butter shopping list
- 1 oz of Plain flour shopping list
- 2 pintsof chicken stock salt shopping list
- cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1 pint of single cream shopping list
- 1 tbsp of butter shopping list
How to make it
- First you wan to add the ground almonds and the milk in a small pan and let gently cook around for 10 minutes.
- Then you can add the crumbs and cook approx. 3 minutes, make sure to stir.
- Now inn a large pan you want to melt the butter, then add the flour and then stir it in then stir in the almond puree.
- Then you wan to gradually add your stock and when you have a smooth soup, you want to season with salt, hot pepper and ground mace.
- You can now cook on low slowly for approx. 10 minutes and then remove from the heat and stir in your cream. Heat this through gently.
- Meanwhile add slivered almonds to a buttered pan and cook to a golden brown.
- Ladle Soup and sprinkled almonds on top.
