How to make it

  • Combine soy sauce, ginger, garlic, wine and sugar in a mixing bowl and blend thoroughly
  • Place the lightly pounded chicken breasts and the mixture (the marinade) in a large resealable plastic bag or a low baking dish (make certain all the chicken is covered or surrrounded with the marinade)
  • Place in the refrigerator and marinade for 4 hours before using
  • Remove chicken from the marinade and (1) place on your grill - medium heat or (2) 5-6 inches under your broiler on a sheet pan or in a shallow baking dish or (3) oven bake the chicken at 350 degrees F (be careful NOT to have the heat turned up too high or the sugar may burn)
  • Remove the chicken from the heat and thin slice on the bias
  • Arrange the chicken on a serving platter, pour the juices over the chicken and sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions (or top a salad with the sliced chicken after topping with juices and seeds)
