How to make it

  • In a medium-sized pot with a lid, bring water, boullion cubes and 1/2 stick of butter to boil using med to high heat
  • Add egg noodles
  • Cover pot and simmer until noodles are desired texture (6 - 10 minutes).
  • During last minute of cooking add remaining 1/2 stick of butter and stir until melted.

    Salt and pepper to taste. Yum.........butter noodles.

    How about stirring in some Mozzarella right at the end.
    BTW, I used a medium width egg noodle if that makes any difference.

    Thanks for the great questions! I updated the recipe but I use a medium sized pot and yes, I cover it while it cooks. You don't drain the noodles, they just cook in the 2 cups of water.

    What size pot are you using? And do you cover the pot to keep from losing water? Two cups is not very much for the noodles.
