How to make it

  • In mixer bowl, with mixer, cream butter, sugars
  • Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition
  • Combine dry ingredients in bowl, whisk
  • Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture, alternately with orange juice
  • Add grated orange peel
  • Stir in chopped nuts by hand
  • Pour into a genrously greased, floured tube or Bundt pan
  • Bake at 350 degrees for about 45-50 minutes or until toothpick inserted in middle comes out clean
  • Cool upright in pan for about 15 minutes
  • Invert onto cake plate or stand cooling completely
  • In small saucepan, heat 2 tablespoons brown sugar, milk, and butter, just until melted
  • Remove from heat
  • Add powdered sugar, blending until smooth
  • Drizzle over cake
  • Sprinkle top with nuts
