- pepper (to taste) shopping list
- garlic powder ( " ) shopping list
- powered sage ( " ) shopping list
- powered marjoram ( " ) shopping list
- powered thyme ( " ) shopping list
- ground mustard ( " ) shopping list
- All the spices are to taste because I just sprinkled them onto the pork and smothered it in the mustard and called that good. If you need specifics see directions :D shopping list
How to make it
- 1: liberally sprinkle garlic powder and pepper on loin. ( I like garlic and pepper a lot so I just sprinkled until the meat was super covered in it.) about 1 tsp pepper and 2 tsp garlic powder
- 2: sprinkle almost 1/8 tsp of sage, marjoram, and thyme.
- 3: add 1 Tbsp of mustard (no yellow but any other will work) and massage it into top layer and make a paste to cover roast.
- 4: get bacon out and layer it on the paste to cover and flip it to expose the unspiced side of pork.
- 5: repeat steps 1-3
- 6: fold bacon together and use tooth picks or twine to secure it in place.
- 7: place in glass pan and roast until about done ( I like my pork 145, but that is up to you)
- 8: once pork is almost done to your like'n turn on the broiler and crisp up the bacon. my husband likes it crispy and again that is up to you on how you want it.
- 9: rest the meat for 10 min. and carve and enjoy!
