Moroccan Meatloaf With Goat Cheese Recipe
A wonderfully flavoured turkey meatloaf with a sweet fruity glaze and Tandoori paste. Originally from Sandi Richard of Food TV Canada.

Ingredients
  • 2 lb. ground turkey breast
  • 1/2 tsp fresh pepper
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup unseasoned breadcrumbs
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 2 tsp garam masala
  • 2 tbsp Tandoori curry paste
  • 100g soft goat’s cheese
  • 1/4 cup plum sauce
  • 1/4 cup peach jam
  • 1/2 tsp curry powder

Directions
  1. Combine turkey, pepper, egg, breadcrumbs, garlic, garam masala and Tandoori curry paste in large bowl.
  2. Between 2 pieces of waxed paper press this mixture to form a rectangle ¾ inches thick and about the width of your loaf pan.
  3. Remove top piece of waxed paper.
  4. Roll goat cheese into a rope and place on the narrow end of the rectangle of ground turkey mixture.
  5. Using the bottom piece of waxed paper rol up the meat, starting with the cheese side and pulling off the waxed paper as you go.
  6. Press into meatloaf pan so it fits.
  7. Combine plum sauce, peach jam and curry powder to make a glaze. Spread over top of loaf.
  8. Bake loaf in 350F oven 40 minutes.
