Ingredients
  • 1 c sweetened applesauce
  • 2 eggs, separated
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 1 c milk, scalded (and still hot)
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions
  1. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  2. Fold in applesauce.
  3. Beat egg yolks, and add sugar.
  4. Slowly add milk to egg yolks.
  5. Return milk mix to double boiler and cook until thickened.
  6. Cool and serve over applesauce and eggwhites.
