Curry Meatballs

- 1 box of meatballs (M&M brand) or make your own fresh meatballs. I find you can use pork or chicken as well. I tried it with pork and then with chicken and it was good too. shopping list
- 4 TBSP OF ghee (clarified butter) shopping list
- 3 cloves OF garlic FINELY CHOPPED shopping list
- 1 ½ TBSP curry powder shopping list
- 1 TSP OF salt shopping list
- 2 MEDIUM SIZE tomatoes CHOPPED shopping list
- 2 MEDIUM SIZED onions CHOPPED ROUGHLY shopping list
- 1 INCH OF ginger FINELY CHOPPED ( this is optional, I personally do not like ginger so I do not add it, and it is still good) shopping list
- ¾ CUP OF water shopping list
How to make it
- 1.HEAT 3 TBSPS OF GHEE IN A LARGE POT OVER MEDIUM HEAT.
- 2.WHEN IT IS HOT, ADD THE MEATBALLS ( or pork or chicken)AND BROWN THEM SLIGHTLY. REMOVE THE MEATBALLS FROM THE POT AND SET ASIDE.
- 3.CONTINUING WITH THE SAME HEAT, ADD ONE MORE TBSP OF GHEE TO THE POT
- 4.ADD THE ONION GARLIC AND GINGER; SLIGHTLY BROWN THEM, STIRRING OCCASIPNALLY –DO NOT BURN.
- 5.ADD THE CURRY POWDER, MEATBALLS AND TOMATOES TOSS THEM AROUND FOR THE SPICE MIXTURE TO COAT THE MEATBALLS.
- 6.ADD WATER AND SALT, BRING TO A BOIL
- 7.THEN LOWER THE HEAT AND SIMMER UNTIL IT REACHES THE DESIRED CONSISTENCY.
- Serve it with White rice
