- INGREDIENTS shopping list
- 2 1/2 pounds ground beef or turkey shopping list
- 1/2 lbs whole pork sausage (hot) shopping list
- olive oil shopping list
- 1 onion, chopped shopping list
- 4 cloves garlic finely chopped shopping list
- 1 green pepper chopped shopping list
- 1-tablespoon ground cumin shopping list
- 1-teaspoon ground black pepper shopping list
- 1/2-teaspoon garlic salt shopping list
- 4-tablespoons apple cider vinegar shopping list
- 1 (15-ounce) can tomato sauce (Hunts) shopping list
- 1 (16-ounce) jar salsa (mild) shopping list
- 1 package chili seasoning mix shopping list
- 1 (15 ounce) can light red kidney beans shopping list
- 1 (15-ounce) can dark red kidney beans shopping list
- 1 (11 ounce) can corn shopping list
- louisiana hot sauce to taste shopping list
How to make it
- DIRECTIONS
- 1. In a large saucepan brown the sausage then slice into small pieces.
- 2. In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium heat, combine the ground beef or turkey, garlic, onion, green pepper and sauté for 10 minutes, or until meat is browned and onion is tender.
- 3. Add the Pork slices to the Dutch oven.
- 4. Add the ground black pepper, cumin, garlic salt, and tomato sauce, and salsa, chili seasoning mix, apple cider vinegar, corn and kidney beans. Mix well, reduce heat to low and simmer for at least 2 hours.
- I recommend serving it with cornbread and hot sauce of choice.
