How to make it

  • Saute onion in butter in a Dutch oven over medium heat stirring constantly until tender.
  • Dissolve bouillon cubes in boiling water.
  • Add bouillon and broth to pan: bring to boil
  • Add potatoes: cover and simmer 15 minutes or until potatoes are tender
  • Combine flour and 2 tablespoons cooking liquid, stirring with a wire whisk until smooth.
  • Stir flour mixture into soup mixture; cook , stirring constantly, until thickened and bubbly.
  • Reduce heat to low stir in sour cream and parsley.
  • Cook until thoroughly heated.

    I love potato soup and will give this recipe a try...I also just read your "About Me" and see that you love to cook but simple preparation is the best. That's my motto too! Maybe you'd like some of my recipes??? (hint, hint!)
