Whole Food Chocolate Squares

- 1 cup chopped walnuts shopping list
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds shopping list
- 10 whole dates, chopped shopping list
- 5 whole prunes, chopped shopping list
- 1 tbsp honey or agave (optional) shopping list
- 1/3 cup cocoa powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 1 tbsp almond butter shopping list
- 1/4 cup applesauce shopping list
- 1 cup blackberries or raspberries shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325F, grease an 8" square pan.
- Place the walnuts and almonds in a food processor and process until they become a coarse flour.
- Add the dates, prunes and honey and blend into the nuts.
- Add cocoa, cinnamon, oil, almond butter and applesauce and pulse everything together to form a sticky blend.
- Add the berries and pulse in, so that they are in pieces but not completely pureed.
- Pour the mixture into the pan and bake for 40 – 50 minutes.
- Cool completely before cutting
