How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray. Roll dough into a 10" x 10" rectangle, then cut rolled out dough into 4 ( 6" x 5" ) pieces. Lay 1 knockwurst piece along longest edge of one dough piece. Roll up dough into knockwurst is completely covered. Pinch dough edges to seal. Repeat with the remaining knockwurst and dough. Brush each roll with egg and then cut them diagonally into 1 inch thick pieces. Place on baking sheet with the cut sides down. Bake for 20 minutes or until pastry dough is puffy and golden brown.

  • Combine mustard with parsley. Serve knockwurst pastry bites along side mustard for dipping.
