Green Beans With Mushrooms And Red Peppers

- 2 pounds of frozen or fresh green beans shopping list
- 1 (4 oz) can drained mushrooms shopping list
- 2 tbsp minced garlic shopping list
- 1 large red pepper, cut in fatter juliene strips shopping list
- 6 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- 2 tbsp butter shopping list
- 1 small onion (red or yellow) chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp italian seasoning shopping list
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp thyme shopping list
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
- In frying pan, melt butter & olive oil
- Add onion, garlic, mushrooms, & red pepper slices, saute about 3-5 minutes but do not over cook
- Add seasonings and mix
- In a 9 x 13 pan add either fresh or frozen beans (do not cook ahead )
- Pour butter/onion mixture over beans and toss to coat all (add a little more oil is too dry, (do not over oil))
- Top with bread crumbs
- Bake uncovered about 30-45 minutes (till beans are tender but not overcooked)
