Bone-in Pork Chop W/ Onion And Green Apple Compote

- 4 Bone-In pork chops 1/2" Thick shopping list
- 3 Table Spoons of salted butter shopping list
- 2 Green granny smith apples shopping list
- 1 Large sweet onion (Vadalia are the best) shopping list
- 1 Tablespoon of light brown sugar shopping list
- Salt and pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Wash Pork Chops with cold water
- Pat dry with a paper towel
- Season with Sea Salt and Fresh Cracked Pepper (add Tony's Cajun Seasoning for a kick)
- Let stand till they reach room temp about 1/2 hour
- Pre Heat Oven to 325F
- Cook 15 minutes and then flip
- continue to cook 15 to 20 additional minutes or till desired temp of 150-160 degrees is reached
- remove from oven and cover with foil
- let rest for 10 minutes
- While Pork chops are in oven
- Peel, Core, Slice and Chop Green Apples into bite size pieces
- Peel and Thinly Slice Onion in Half Moon Shape (don't dice)
- Melt Butter in Large Frying Pan Med to Med/High heat
- Add Onion, Apple and Sugar (you can add more sugar if you like it sweeter your apples may decide for you)
- Season w/ Salt and Pepper while cooking
- Cook till Tender
- Serve Pork Chop on Plate and Top with Green Apple and Onion Compote. Serve with a glass of Peligrino or your favorite Chardonnay.
- Side Suggestions: Baked Sweet Potatoe and Broccoli with lemon juice and some parmsean cheese
