Ingredients

How to make it

  • Separate the greens from the turnips; wash the turnips and cut into quarters. Rinse the greens and slice horizontally into wide strips.
  • Melt the butter in a medium saucepan. When it starts to sizzle, add the turnips and sautee for about 3 minutes. Do not allow the turnips to brown.
  • Add a small glass of water and cover the saucepan. Simmer the turnips until just tender, about 5 minutes.
  • Uncover the saucepan and add the greens and a good pinch of salt. Cook for about 2 minutes more, until the greens just wilt.
  • Add a few drops of lemon juice, to taste and serve sprinkled with the sesame salt.

glad you like the pic...pretty raw ingredients are so inspiring.
let me know if you try this...it occurred to me that the butter-soy-lemon combo could also be good on little potatoes.
