How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • ***************************************
  • Brush first sheet of phyllo dough with the melted butter, then add second layer.
  • Repeat until last layer is covered with butter.
  • Spread the cream cheese up to the borders leaving a 2 inch space all around.
  • Top the cream cheese with the filling, try not to mix up the cream cheese and the filling too much if you have to spread the blueberries around evenly.
  • Fold in the bottom, 2 sides and top and roll it away from you until you have a log.
  • Brush top with egg wash (1 eggs + 1 Tb water) and bake until medium to dark golden brown. About 25 minutes or so.

  • For the glaze you mix 1 tsp of vanilla into the confectioner's sugar then slowly add milk until it's slightly runny.
  • Top the strudel when it comes out of the oven.
