How to make it

  • Heat the spiced rum just below boiling.
  • Add raisins and remove from heat.
  • Cover and let sit for 30 minutes.
  • Drain.
  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Sift dry ingredients and add to butter mixture.
  • Stir in raisins.
  • roll out to 1/2 inch thick, cut in desired shapes.
  • I use a two inch cookie cutter.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes.
  • cool on racks and store air tight.
