How to make it

  • Preheat oven 375.
  • Mix baking soda in with flour. Then add eggs, 2 cups sugar and pineapple. Mix well by hand.
  • Pour into well greased 13x9 pyrex dish. Bake for 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
  • While cake is baking, mix all remaining ingredients together for the icing. Bring to boil, then reduce heat and let cook for 10 minutes.
  • Spread icing onto the cake after it is removed from the oven.
