How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Cut bread in in 1/4' to 1/2' slices and brush bread with butter. (sometimes I put them int eh toaster first).
  • Arrange bread overlapping slightly in 2 rows in a buttered baking dish. Combine milk, egg, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg in a bowl and mix thoroughly.
  • Spread mixture over bread in baking dish.
  • Bake about 25 minutes or until top is browned.

    Challah? That tells me you know what you're doing! Cinnamon raisin challah and that would REALLY be divine.
