How to make it

  • Wash and top the figs
  • Cut them into quarters - but not right to the bottom, so they stay in one piece.
  • Open the figs slightly and stuff the centre with the cheese
  • Put back together and wrap the bacon around the sides, securing with a cocktail stick.
  • Bake for about 15 minutes in the centre of a moderate oven. (Depends on size of figs and thickness of bacon)
  • Remove the cocktail sticks before serving.
