Fifteen Minute Soup

- 50ml oil shopping list
- 1 small onion, finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tomato, peeled and chopped shopping list
- 1 or 2 fish stock cubes (depending on strength) made up to 1 1/2 litre of liquid shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed saffron or paprika shopping list
- 100g diced ham shopping list
- 50ml dry sherry shopping list
- 150g rice shopping list
- 100g shelled peas shopping list
- 1/4 kilogram clams, cleaned shopping list
- 1/4 kilogram shelled shrimp shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
- Chopped, fresh parsley shopping list
- 2 hard boiled eggs, chopped (optional but traditional) shopping list
How to make it
- Heat the oil in a saucepan or stovetop casserole
- Sautee the onion
- Add the tomato, stock, saffron or paprika, sherry, rice ans peas
- Bring to the boil
- Cook on a high heat for 10 minutes
- Lower the heat and add clams and shrimp
- Taste and season with salt and pepper
- Cook 5 minutes more
- Serve with a sprinkling of chopped parsley and chopped eggs
