Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large saucepan, bring 2 cups water to a boil. Remove from heat, add the tea bags, and let steep for 10 minutes. Discard the bags and allow the tea to cool to room temperature.
  • Stir in the honey, plums, and Mint. Transfer to a pitcher and refrigerate until cool, about 1 hours. Serve over ice. For an instant cocktail: Stir in 1/2 cup bourbon before serving.

Made this before leaving for an appointment, then let it chill while I was away...came home to a wonderful, refreshing glass of tea. I don't like sweetened tea, so I left out the honey, and my plums were plenty sweet, anyway... but, I love that recipe uses honey, and it made me think this, as a hot tea, would be great. In that, I would add the honey to mine! :) Have never had plum tea, but I am a fan of that fruit, so it was a great match. Thanks, chef!

Making this now... 3 minutes after posting... I think this is a record! I just used plums in a recipe this morning! ...I don't have an apple, and I don't see it in the directions, so I'll leave it out, anyway...but, where does it go, please? Thanks for the recipe!
