Potato Salad-nepali Way

- 1 lb potatoes (baby potatoes if possible) shopping list
- 4 jalapeno peppers-Seeded & sliced into long shopping list
- strips shopping list
- juice of 1 lime shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- 1/4cup sesame seeds (preferably black); roasted and ground shopping list
- 1 tsp Tumeric powder shopping list
- 1 tsp cumin seeds shopping list
- 2 ea chilies, whole, dried shopping list
- 3 ts corn oil shopping list
- 1/2cup water shopping list
- 1/2cup cilantro-chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Boil potatoes in jackets.
- When done, peel & cut into small pieces (skip this step if you're using baby potatoes).
- In a suitable bowl, combine potatoes, tumeric, salt, ground sesame seeds, lime juice, half of the green cilantro and water and mix thoroughly.
- In a small pan heat oil and add cumin seeds and red chilies.
- Fry them until brown and then add jalepeno pepper.
- Let it cook for a minute or so.
- Pour it over potatoes in the bowl and mix them thoroughly; garnish with remaining cilantro.
