Barbecued Spareribs

I am a bit early but I dusted off the "Recipes on Parade" cookbook which was put together by members of the "Officers Wives Clubs" from around the world. I ran across this one it is from their 1964 cookbook. Read more So in honor of "Armistice Day" Veterans Day, I figured I would share some of them with you. Ingredients
- 1/4 Cup butter shopping list
- 1 Med onion chopped shopping list
- 1/4 Cup lemon juice shopping list
- 1/4 cup vinegar shopping list
- 1/4 cup catchup shopping list
- 1/4 cup worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 1-1 1/2 lb spareribs shopping list
How to make it
- Saute onion in butter until lightly browned.
- Add remaining sauce ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Brown ribs
- Pour sauce over meat
- Bake uncovered in a 350 degree oven for 1-2 hours or until meat is tender.
- Baste often with the sauce while cooking
