Rogue Valley Pear Streusel Pear Pie

- 1/2 c sugar shopping list
- 1 1/2 Tbsp Quick tapioca shopping list
- 1/8 tsp mace shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 2 tbsp lemon juice shopping list
- 6 c firm ripe pears, any good ones will do. D'anjou, Bosc or Bartlett are good shopping list
- 1/2 c butter shopping list
- 1 c flour shopping list
- 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed shopping list
- unbaked 9 inch pie crust shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees
- In a large bowl, combine sugar, tapioca mace, cinnamon. Stir in Lemon juice and pears. Let sit for 15 minutes and in the meanwhile, cut butter into the flour and brown sugar until crumbly. Spoon pear mixture into pie crust and sprinkle crumb mixture over the top. Bake for 45 - 50 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. serves 6-8
