How to make it

  • Put pot of water to boil
  • Wash basil leaves, peel garlic cloves and put on cutting board
  • chop until finely chopped.
  • Add Walnuts and chop some more until walnut pieces are tiny. (but not too tiny see picture provided)
  • put into a container of choice
  • Add enough oil to cover the mixture and set aside
  • **(if you do not use it all, it can be frozen for a later date)**
  • when water starts to bubble (boil) add one tablespoon of oil to the water
  • add the spaghetti and salt (water need to be very salty) stir occasionally
  • **the oil in the water is so spaghetti will not stick together**
  • When pasta is done ( 7 to 9 min) drain and put in a bowl, spoon pesto mixture and blend. (when serving this pasta make sure to stir it up before because the pesto goes to the bottom)
  • garnish with the cheese and a tbsp of pesto on top.
  • ENJOY!!
