Chocolate Cobbler

While living in Coffeeville, Mississippi, this recipe was caught by eye, served by me, and I watched as it was made daily as one of our desserts at the Coffeeville, Tea Room. I love this stuff but usually keep from making it because its one of those that you just can't stop eating it!
Ingredients
- 1 cup flour shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup plus 2 T cocoa powder shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
- 2 T oil shopping list
- 3/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 3/4 cup hot water shopping list
How to make it
- preheat oven 350 and grease a 8x8 inch baking pan
- in a large bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, salt, stir in sugar n 2 T of cocoa
- add milk, vanilla, n oil, pour the batter into the baking pan
- in a small bowl, mix sugar n 1/4 cup cocoa, sprinkle over batter
- very slowly pour the hot water over the baking dish, if u pour to fast, the layers will be mixed n wont turn out the same
- bake 40-45min
