Romanian Apple Cake

- 5 apples, peeled and cored shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3/4 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 cups all - purpose flour shopping list
- 1/4 cup walnuts or pecans shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Grease and flour a 9x13 or a bunt pan (I used Baker's Joy Cooking Spray to the pan).
- Cut the apples into chunks, set aside.In a large bowl whicks together the eggs, oil and sugar until blended.Mix the baking soda, cinnamon, ginger, vanilla and salt.Stir in the flour just until incorporated.Fold in the apples, nuts or pecans (I didn't use the nuts or pecans).Pour batter into prepared pan.Bake in the prepared oven for 55 minutes for the pan, 60 to 70 minutes for a bunt pan or until toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.Allow to cool slightly.
