Ingredients
  • 1 Chicken Drumstick or Breast, deboned
  • Marinade:
  • - 1 tablespoon sugar
  • - 1 tablespoon Mirin
  • - 1 tablespoon wine
  • - 2 tablespoon soy sauce

Directions
  1. Mix the marinade.
  2. Pour the marinade over the chicken and marinate for at least ½ hour.
  3. Dust chicken with corn flour and sauté in pan till lightly burnt. Pour away excess oil.
  4. Pour the remaining marinade for the chicken in the pan.
  5. Cook till the sauce thickens.
  6. Remove and serve hot.

Serve it with rice or have it like a burger with lettuce, tomato, etc. It%u2019s delicious!


My wife loves the teriyaki chicken at the local chinese restaurant, and this looks similar, so I hope it's also similar in taste.
The recipe calls for Mirin, which I understand is some form of rice wine, but then the recipe also calls for more wine. Any particular kind of wine?


Mirin is a sweet cooking wine. For the other wine,
I used chinese cooking wine. You can use white wine too if you like.


I always wonder how they cook teriyaky, is it grill is it stir fried, this explained alot, next time i make teriyaki i'll try this way
