Honey Cake

- 150 ml water shopping list
- 5-6 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup honey shopping list
- 2 tsp rose water shopping list
- desiccated coconut for garnishing shopping list
- 4-5 tsp fruit jam shopping list
How to make it
- Follow your own recipe of a sponge cake( white or yellow cake)
- While the cake is in the oven, prepare honey syrup by adding sugar, honey and water to a small pan and heat it in a low flame. Keep stirring till sugar dissolves. Heat the mixture till it becomes syrupy.
- Add rose water and turn off the heat. Keep it aside to cool.
- When the cake is done, pierce it all over with a toothpick and pour the cooled syrup all over the hot cake.
- Put jam and 1-2 tsp sugar in a microwave bowl, mix it well and keep in microwave for 30 seconds. Take it out and mix well.
- Spread it over the cake evenly.
- Sprinkle with desiccated coconut and serve.
