How to make it

  • For a basic hummus, into a power blender or processor place the lemon juice, olive oil, garlic , chickpeas, tahini and process until smooth and creamy
  • Add hot water as needed to thin mixture
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • If you want additions, stir them in now
  • To serve: place prepared hummus on a plate or bowl, make a well in the center and pour in the olive oil in center
  • Serve with fresh pita bread, chips, cut up veges etc.
  • Note: basic recipe multiples well for larger crowds
