Oyster Artichoke Soup

- 1 pint oysters with liquid shopping list
- 1 pint water shopping list
- 1 can(10 oz) chix broth (or clam broth) shopping list
- 2/3 stick butter (I'll use 2 T.) shopping list
- 1 Table. flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk or cream shopping list
- 1 bunch green onions, chopped shopping list
- thyme, cayenne, 3 bay leav es shopping list
- 1 can artichoke hearts, chopped (or frozen) shopping list
- 1/3 cup Italian parsley, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- In a soup pan, melt butter and saute onions, add seasonings; add flour and stir well with a whisk, beating in the liquids. Simmer about 15 minutes, then add oysters, artichokes and parsley and simmer gently/slowly about 10 mins. Add milk or cream , heat and serve.
