Easy 1- Bowl Buttercream Frosting

- Serves 2 cups frosting
Organizing old recipes, and ran into this 1984 Hershey ad I cut out of a magazine. It amazes me that people actually BUY frosting when it is soo easy to make. (and w/o those unpronouncable ingredients) .
Ingredients
- 6 Tablespoons butter or margarine shopping list
- (Hershey's cocoa) 1/3 cup for light flavor, 1/2 cup for medium flavor, and 3/4 cup for dark flavor shopping list
- 2 2/3 cups unsifted confectioners sugar shopping list
- 1/3 cup milk (part Kahlua) shopping list
- 1 tsp. vanilla (plus 1/2 tsp. almond extract) shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and cocoa in small mixer bowl. Add powdered sugar alternately with milk. Beat until creamy and stir in vanilla.
- Recipe can be doubled or tripled or halved, etc. enjoy!
