- 1 1/3 cup all-purpose flour shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup yellow, white or blue cornmeal shopping list
- 1 1/2 tablespoon baking powder shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 3 beaten eggs shopping list
- 1 1/3 cup milk shopping list
- 1/2 cup cooking oil shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F
- Grease 12 inch cast iron skillet, set aside.
- In a large mixing bowl stir together cornmeal, flour, salt, and baking powder.
- Make a well in the center of the dry mixture.
- In a medium bowl combine eggs, milk and cooking oil.
- Add the liquid mixture all at once to dry mixture.
- Stir just till moistened (batter may be lumpy).
- Pour batter into the prepared Skillet. Bake at 425 degrees F 20 to 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
