Party Size Sour Cream Pound Cake

- 2 sticks sweet butter, softened shopping list
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil shopping list
- 4 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs vanilla shopping list
- 10 eggs shopping list
- 6 cups flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1 pint sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- In a very large bowl beat butter,oil, sugar and vanilla until light and fluffy
- Beat in eggs, one at a time only to blend
- Sift in over the creamed mixture the flour, salt and baking soda
- Add the sour cream
- Beat low speed to combine
- Beat medium speed to blend smooth, a few minutes
- Place batter into a greased and floured 12 inch deep springform cake pan
- Bake middle rack at 325F for 90-120 minutes OR tested done in center with a wooden toothpick
- Cool in pan
- Cake may be froezen when completely cold
- Note: recipe can be prepared in two smaller cake pans if desired, baking time will be much less!
- I also like to vary the flavoring with lemon or almond too
