- 1.5kg beef, cut into cubes shopping list
- 1c flour shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground pepper shopping list
- butter shopping list
- 3c water shopping list
- 2 medium onions,diced shopping list
- 4 bay leaf shopping list
- 2 cloves garlic shopping list
- half cup bacon bits shopping list
- 2 beef stock cubes shopping list
- 3 medium carrots, sliced shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Dredge beef cubes in flour,salt, pepper mixture.
- 2. Pan fry in butter until golden brown.
- 3. Put the pan-fried meat in deep pot, add water, onions,garlic, beef stock and bay leaf.
- 4. Slow cook for one hour, then put in bacon bits. Continue cooking over low fire, stirring occasionally for another hour.
- 5. Toss in carrots and simmer for another 30 min or until beef in tender.
- 6. Serve and enjoy with potatos, rice or bread.
- Serves 4-6
