Pasta With Shrimp, Mushrooms & Stuff

- 1/2 lb (250g) long pasta. shopping list
- Two to three cups of medium thick white sauce. There are heaps of recipes for white sauce at GR, if you need one. I think I even posted one myownself. shopping list
- 2 cups of small frozen shrimp. shopping list
- 2 large Portobella mushrooms, sliced. Large here is LARGE. shopping list
- 1/4 cup finely chopped spring onion tops, green part only. Can use chives. shopping list
- Basel, parsley & oregano to taste. shopping list
- salt & F/G pepper to taste. shopping list
- 2 Tbs diced roasted bell pepper. shopping list
- Grated Parmesan or romano cheese. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Cook the pasta.
- 2. Drain and rinse the pasta.
- 3. Make the white sauce.
- 4. To the white sauce add everything but the Parmesan cheese.
- 5. Let this simmer, stirring constantly, for 3 to 5 minutes, to combine the flavours.
- 6. Remove from heat & let stand for five minutes.
- 7. Nuke the pasta to warm it up good.
- 8. Sauce on pasta.
- 9. Grate cheese over the top.
- 10. Eat
- 11. Enjoy.
- Bread, wine & a good friend, or six, are optional but nice. A fresh green salad is pretty much a must.
