Pie With Fluffy Coconut Topping

- 300g all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 150g white sugar shopping list
- 4 egg yolks shopping list
- 200g melted butter shopping list
- 200ml milk shopping list
- 10g vanilla sugar shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
coconut Topping
- 4 egg whites [room temperature] shopping list
- 120g white sugar shopping list
- 10g vanilla sugar shopping list
- 175g dried, shredded coconut shopping list
- pinch of salt shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 160C [320F]
- Put white sugar, vanilla sugar, salt and egg yolks on a bowl and whisk up well.
- Pour in melted butter and mix everything.
- Pour in the milk, sifted flour, baking powder and make cake batter.
- Pour the batter into a greased and floured [or lined with baking paper] 20x20cm [~8x8inches] baking pan and bake for 20-25 minutes.
- Let it cool a little.
Coconut Topping
- Whish egg whites with salt while gradually pouring in white and vanilla sugar.
- Mix in dried, shredded coconut and spread it all over the top of cooled cake.
- Bake for another 15-20 minutes in 140C [284F].
