Drunken Banana Pirate Pie

- 1 9-inch double crust pie pastry shopping list
- 1/2 cup white sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup butter shopping list
- 3 tablespoons flour shopping list
- 1 shot Captain Morgan (or other spiced rum) shopping list
- 3-5 bananas, cut into wheels shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 425° F.
- In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour to form a thick paste. Add white sugar, brown sugar, and rum, and bring to a boil Reduce temperature and let simmer.
- Fill bottom crust with bananas. Pour the sugar/butter/rum mixture over the bananas, making sure it's evenly distributed throughout. Cover with the top crust. Cut vents in the top crust.
- Bake for 15 minutes at 425° F. Reduce temperature to 350° F and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes.
