How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 425° F.
  • In a saucepan, melt butter. Stir in flour to form a thick paste. Add white sugar, brown sugar, and rum, and bring to a boil Reduce temperature and let simmer.
  • Fill bottom crust with bananas. Pour the sugar/butter/rum mixture over the bananas, making sure it's evenly distributed throughout. Cover with the top crust. Cut vents in the top crust.
  • Bake for 15 minutes at 425° F. Reduce temperature to 350° F and bake for an additional 10-20 minutes.
